In a meeting held today between Mr. Passi and Mr. Nasanjargal, President of the Mongolian National Association of Fruits and Berries in the capital city Ulaanbaatar; the two parties discussed cooperation in the national agricultural field and the promotion of investments and joint projects to encourage crop of fruit growing and to assist in the construction of a development center Israel-Mongolia; These are the groundwork element for building a trial center for research and development of growing fruit trees that are suitable for the regional climate.
At the meeting, the conditions for sharing information and action were agreed upon, and the idea was to work jointly for the development of future agricultural projects, with the aim of developing business, spreading knowledge and raising awareness among Mongolian farmers and entrepreneurs for berries and fruit tree growing and revenue of fruit crops, in order to weaken the existing economic dependence on fruit imports that stands on approximate average of 90% imports, as a result of future increasing local producing.
At the following weeks an agriculture representative of the CCCCIM chamber, Mr. Rotband, will arrive to take a specific look at the project's details as well as other meetings in the field of food and vegetables.
