Diplomatic relations between Israel and Mongolia began in 1991 with the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Mongolia is a vast country located between China to the south and the Siberia region of Russia to the north. It is a country rich in resources such as huge gold deposits and more. The Mongolian population is made up of cities that are mainly clustered around the capital city of Ulaanbaatar and local nomads.
The total population consists of 3,000,000 inhabitants, the vast majority of them Mongolians and a minority of Kazakhs. There is also a Chinese community. Mongolia is a center of development potential and sits at the center of the strongest economy, the emerging Asian market.
Since the signing of the last agreement in July 2018, a number of Israeli investors have been exploring investment opportunities in the fields of fuel, electricity, and agriculture, including LR from Herzliya, visiting Mongolia in September 2018.
In Mongolia, there is a very small community of Israelis / Jews, as well as an honorary ambassador, a Mongolian businessman named Amar.
